High catching seems to pay dividends... I'm not sold on Jumping. Honestly I'm building a possession guy with the speedster archetype. This is my capping order.

Speed
Catching
Vision
Jumping
Agility
Strength

I'm not sold on jumping at all and will be using first step and quick Cut to make up for my low agility, will be build around getting to the ball first and using his catching and vision to snag it regardless of if it's deflected or not.

Seems to be mix bag of info. Right now I'm still capping speed.

So then, in the case of my lvl 1 wr (where 30 is catching and 20 is speed and everything else is around 10-12) what direction do I go in in terms of trainning?

I took the advice given me and have this so far. Lv 27. I put everything I had in training and building speed. I finally go one pc to eliminate at least one of the agility pcs. I'm very happy with his separation. I continue to quad train speed. This is my first WR so I will continue to take advise, but I like the track he's on. Battalion I went totally agility first and second capped it before starting on speed, mistake. You have a chance to correct that.

Strength: 8
Speed: 99.1 (+19)
Agility: 73.8 (+3)
Jumping: 24.8
Stamina: 27.1
Vision: 34.8
Confidence: 18.1

Football Skills
Blocking: 8
Catching: 45.8
Tackling: 8
Throwing: 8
Carrying: 19.8
Kicking: 8
Punting: 8

Special Abilities
Possession Receiver Abilities
Route Running: 4
Sticky Hands: 1
Jumping Catch: 1
Diving Catch: 1
One Handed Catch: 1

And what are you basing this on? Separation is key.

Catching has declining marginal returns.

you dont NEED high speed to get separation, i posit. But you will need high agility and QkCut and catch fake if you want separation without the speed.
Then you need a good qb to actually see it when it happens.

THATS when the high jumping and catching will come in. And if you didnt sink all your points into speed, youll also have some high strength and vision too which will help in the catch battle. Tall, heavy, strong, hi-jumpin, rumblin, bumblin, stumblin, down the field with that YAC and Power Thru.... Power receivers baby, done right.

I'm really not sold on jumping at all.
Their is a possession receiver on one of the teams I coordinate for with 8 jumping and he pulls balls in like no ones business. He is just high catching and high strength while being incredibly slow and in-agile for his level.

so he doesnt get much separation but the qb still thinks hes a good target and throws to him.

i am trying the same with my speedster arche,
but i did agility much higher so my order was this
speed
agi
catching
vision
jumping
strength

i cost myself in speed by capping jumping so early
i wanted to try a BH WR build and wanted the jump to get BH at lev25
we'll see how it works out... so far its been very good, she catches most of her
targeted passes even when well covered, but has been having a problem w/ knocked loose...
i think she need more strength... or maybe higher speed would create more seperation
to avoid getting hit right after the catch (altho it seems you can take 5 steps and still get KL)
